Standard&Poor's Ratings Services confirmed its 'AAA/A-1' rating on New York City's fiscal 2013 series A, subseries A-2, A-3, A-4, and A-5 variable-rate demand bonds, due to the bank facilities being extended to Oct. 15, 2018. The long-term component of the rating is based jointly (assuming low correlation) on the ratings on the obligor, New York City, and the letter of credit providers, which are: Mizuho Bank Ltd. for subseries A-2 and A-3, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. for subseries A-4 and A-5. The short-term component of the rating is based solely on the short-term ratings on Mizuho Bank Ltd. (A-1) and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. (A-1).
