Standard&Poor's Ratings Services confirmed its 'AAA/A-1' rating on New York City's fiscal 2012 series G, subseries G-3, G-6, and G-7 general obligation bonds, due to the bank facilities being extended to April 2, 2018. The long-term component of the rating is based jointly (assuming low correlation) on the ratings on the obligor, New York City, and the letter of credit providers, which are: Citibank N.A. (A/A-1) for subseries G-3. Mizuho Bank Ltd. (A+/A-1) for subseries G-6, and Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd. (A+/A-1) for subseries G-7. The short-term component of the rating is based solely on the short-term ratings on the issues' respective letter of credit providers.
