Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA' rating, and stable outlook, to Mukwonago Area School District, Wis.' general obligation (GO) promissory notes. In our opinion, the rating reflects the district's: Access to employment opportunities throughout the Milwaukee, Wis. economic center; Very strong wealth and income indicators; Stable student enrollment trend; Maintenance of a very strong financial position; and Low overall debt burden. The district's unlimited-tax full faith and credit GO pledge secures the notes, which the district is issuing as part of a $15 million referendum authorized by the electorate in April 2007.
