Standard&Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'AA' long-term rating, with a stable outlook, on the town of Kennebunk, ME's general obligation (GO) debt outstanding. The 'AA' rating reflects our view of the town's: Diverse local economy, with additional access to the greater Portland metropolitan statistical area (MSA); Sizable tax base, with strong wealth and income indicators; Consistently strong financial position; and Low debt burden with limited capital needs. The town's full faith and credit GO pledge secures its GO bonds outstanding. Kennebunk is in York County on the southern coast of Maine, about 24 miles south of Portland.
