S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA' long-term rating to Hudson County, N.J.'s series 2022 general obligation (GO) bonds, consisting of the county's series 2022 vocational-technical (vo-tech) school bonds, totaling $3.0 million, and series 2022 county college bonds, totaling $5.3 million. At the same time, we affirmed our 'AA' long-term rating on Hudson County's GO debt and county-guaranteed GO-backed debt, previously issued by the Hudson County Improvement Authority. The outlook on all ratings is stable. Hudson County's full-faith-and-credit pledge to pay principal and interest from the levy and collection of ad valorem taxes, without limit as to rate or amount, within its jurisdiction, secures the series 2022 bonds and existing GO debt.
