S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA' long-term rating to Hudson County, N.J.'s series 2016 A&B general obligation (GO)bonds. At the same time, we affirmed our 'AA' rating on the county's existing GO bonds, and the 'AA' rating on Hudson County Improvement Authority's bonds, issued for the county. We also affirmed the 'AA-' rating on the county's appropriation–backed debt. The outlook for all ratings is stable. The county's full-faith, credit, and unlimited ad valorem levy pledge secures the existing GO and Hudson County Improvement Authority bonds. Lease-rental payments made by the county secure the authority's certificates of participation outstanding. We understand, proceeds from the 2016A bonds will be used to finance various 2014-2015 general capital improvements at the Hudson County School
