Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA' ratings on Hudson County, N.J.'s general obligation (GO) bonds series 2014 consisting of general improvement refunding bonds, county vocational-technical schools refunding bonds, and county college refunding bonds. At the same time, we affirmed the 'AA' rating on the county's outstanding GO debt and the 'AA-' rating on its appropriation backed debt. The outlook is stable. The rating reflects our opinion of the county's: Strong economy demonstrated by strong wealth and incomes, as well as its access to the New York-Newark-Jersey City, N.Y.-N.J. metropolitan statistical area (MSA); Adequate budgetary flexibility, reflected by good reserves; Strong budgetary performance despite a modest operating deficit in fiscal 2013; Very strong liquidity, providing strong coverage of debt
