Standard&Poor's Ratings Services has assigned its 'AA+' long-term rating to the town of Hopkinton, Mass.' general obligation (GO) series 2013 municipal purpose loan bonds and affirmed its 'AA+' long-term rating and underlying rating (SPUR) on the town's previously issued GO debt. The outlook on all the ratings is stable. Rating factors include the town's: Stable economy, complemented by its access to jobs in the greater Boston area; Primarily residential property tax base, albeit with a growing commercial and industrial presence; Very strong household incomes and low unemployment compared with the commonwealth and nation; Strong and consistent property tax collection record and our expectation that the town will improve its available reserves; and Low overall net debt burden and
