Standard&Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'A+' long term and underlying ratings on Beauregard Parish School District, La.'s general obligation (GO) bonds outstanding. The outlook remains stable. The ratings reflect our view of the district's: Healthy property tax base growth; Very strong financial position, coupled with good financial management policies; and Low overall net debt burden. The rating is constrained, in our view, by the district's somewhat shallow and concentrated property tax base in oil and gas industry. An unlimited ad valorem tax levied on all taxable property in the district secures the bonds. The school system is contiguous with Beauregard Parish, with an estimated population of 36,684, and is in west central Louisiana and north of the City
