S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA+' long-term rating to Sarasota County , Fla.'s $154.3 million series 2025 utility system revenue bonds. At the same time, we affirmed our 'AA+' long-term rating on the county's utility system revenue bonds outstanding. The outlook is stable. ENGLEWOOD (S&P Global Ratings) Aug. 25, 2025--S&P Global Ratings today took the rating actions listed above. We believe that despite the county's coastal location and outsized risk of severe weather events, management has adequately incorporated key environmental vulnerabilities into its risk and asset management planning. Specifically, the county--in conjunction with other regional partners--incorporates hurricane preparedness into its long-term capital planning through detailed flood plain mapping as well as participating in the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) community
