Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA+' standard long-term rating, and stable outlook, to San Antonio, Texas' series 2007 general improvement and refunding bonds, series 2007 combination tax and revenue certificates of obligation, and series 2007A GO tax notes and affirmed its 'AA+' standard long-term rating and Standard&Poor's underlying rating (SPUR), with a stable outlook, on the city's parity GO debt. The ratings reflect the city's: Continued strong and diverse economy, Strong financial management with a comprehensive long-term financial program, and Strong financial performance and position. An overall moderate debt burden, coupled with significant capital needs, is an offsetting credit factor. The city's full faith and credit pledge secures the bonds, certificates, and tax notes.
