Abstract:

LONDON (Standard&Poor's) Nov. 16, 2009--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services today corrected an error relating to three U.K. government-guaranteed notes issued by The Royal Bank of Scotland PLC (A+/Stable/A-1) (please see the Ratings List below for full details). Due to an administrative error, these issues were inadvertently rated 'A+' in our database and did not accommodate the guarantee by the U.K. government (United Kingdom is rated AAA/Negative/A-1+). We have now rectified this error by raising the ratings on these issues to 'AAA' from 'A+'.
