NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) April 17, 2009--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services today affirmed its ratings on car and consumer truck renter Avis Budget Group Inc., including affirming the 'CCC+' long-term corporate credit rating. At the same time, we lowered our ratings on the company's credit facility to 'CCC+' from 'B', the same as the corporate credit rating on the company. We revised the recovery rating on this debt to a '4' from a '1', indicating average (30%-50%) recovery of principal in the event of a payment default, based upon our expectation that the credit markets will continue to require higher collateralization for secured vehicle facilities, leaving less available for the corporate secured lenders.
