NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) Jan. 5, 2010--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services corrected and lowered its rating on North Carolina Medical Care Community's ( Caro Mount Health) hospital variable-rate demand bonds series 2008 to 'AAA/A-2' from 'AAA/A-1', and removed the rating from CreditWatch with negative implications. The long-term component of the rating is based on the rating of the insurance provider, Assured Guaranty Corporation (AAA). The short-term component of the rating is based on the rating of Regions Bank (A-/A-2).
