Windstream Corp. has created a new holding company called Windstream Holdings Inc. We are assigning a 'BB-' corporate credit rating to the newly-formed parent entity and are withdrawing the corporate credit rating on Windstream Corp. We affirmed the issue-level ratings on the company's debt. On Sept. 9, 2013, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'BB-' corporate credit rating to Windstream Holdings Inc., a newly-formed parent entity of Little Rock, Ark.-based wireline telecommunications provider Windstream Corp. The outlook is stable. At the same time, we withdrew the corporate credit rating on Windstream Corp. and affirmed all issue-level ratings on the company's debt.
