S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'SP-1+' short-term rating to Westfield , Mass.? $15.955 million series 2025A general obligation (GO) bond anticipation notes (BANs). At the same time, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'AA' long-term rating on the city's existing GO debt and its ?SP-1+? rating on the city?s existing BANs. The outlook, where applicable, is stable. The rating reflects the application of our criteria, " Methodology For Rating U.S. Governments ," published Sept. 9, 2024. Westfield's full-faith-and-credit pledge, subject to Proposition 2 1/2 limitations, secures the GO bonds and BANs.
