Data-center equipment provider Vertiv Co.'s credit measures are weaker than we anticipated. We are lowering our issuer credit rating on parent holding company Vertiv Group Corp. by one notch to 'B'. We are also lowering our issue-level ratings on the company's debt by one notch. The negative outlook indicates the 1-in-3 potential for us to lower the ratings within the next year if the company cannot reduce leverage and improve other credit measures to acceptable levels for the rating. On Aug. 31, 2018, S&P Global Ratings downgraded Columbus, Ohio-based Vertiv Group Corp. (parent holding company of Vertiv Co.) to 'B' from 'B+'. The outlook is negative.
