S&P Global Ratings assigned its'BBB+'rating to the city of Shreveport , Louisiana's proposed $90 million series 2026 general obligation (GO) bonds. At the same time, we affirmed our'BBB+'rating on the city’s previously issued GO bonds and limited-tax debt. The outlook is stable. The GO bonds are secured by the city’s full-faith-and-credit pledge, including unlimited ad valorem taxes on all taxable property within the city. Shreveport also has debt secured by a lawfully available funds pledge, which we rate the same as the GO debt because we do not believe there are limitations on the fungibility of resources. The'BBB+'
