The First Preparatory Investigation Court of Lurin recently admitted a habeas corpus claim against Rutas de Lima S.A.C. (RdL or the project), ordering the temporary suspension of collections at the Conchan toll plaza, located along the Panamericana Sur (PS) road. Therefore, we excluded collections from the Conchan toll plaza from our base-case scenario and updated our forecast to incorporate higher costs, mainly driven by ongoing litigation, deferred major maintenance works, and penalties imposed on the project. All of these factors--combined with the adverse legal precedent for RdL on the pending legal claims seeking to suspend the remaining tolls of the PS--lead us to believe the project could default ahead of our previous expectations.
