Abstract:

We are assigning our 'BBB' rating to the senior debt issuance of Minnesota Medical University LLC (MMU), which it will use to fund construction activities and reserve accounts for the Minnesota College of Osteopathic Medicine (MNCOM). MNCOM is a new college of osteopathic medicine in Gaylord, Minn. MNCOM continues to work toward "pre-accreditation" status to open its doors to its first class in the fall of 2020. Accreditation is a requirement to operate the college, and a denial would lead to an operational and technical default. MMU's request for MNCOM accreditation is on the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) accreditation meeting agenda scheduled on April 26, 2019.
