S&P Global Ratings assigned its ?A? rating to Meade County Unified School District No. 226 , Kan.'s series 2025 general obligation (GO) bonds. At the same time, we affirmed our ?A? rating on the district?s GO bonds outstanding. The outlook is stable. The rating is based on the application of our " Methodology For Rating U.S. Governments ," published Sept. 9, 2024. The bonds are general obligations of the district, secured by the district?s full-faith-and-credit pledge, payable from an unlimited ad valorem tax on all taxable property within the district. Proceeds of the $4.8 million series 2025 GO bonds will finance capital improvements for the district?s elementary and high schools. Total pro forma debt outstanding, including this issuance, will be
