Abstract:

Our view of Milli Reasurans T.A.S.'s (Milli Re) quality of investments and financial flexibility has improved following the rating actions on its parent, Türkiye Is Bankasi A.S. We are raising the Turkish national scale rating on Milli Re to 'trAA' from 'trA+'. On Feb. 24, 2010, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services raised its Turkish national scale rating on Istanbul-based Milli Reasurans T.A.S. (Milli Re) to 'trAA' from 'trA+'. The upgrade reflects our more-positive view of Milli Re's financial profile as a result of an improvement in the quality of investments and financial flexibility following the rating actions on Milli Re's parent, Türkiye Is Bankasi A.S.
