Abstract:

We raised the rating on Hero Asia's parent China Longyuan earlier today. We continue to view Hong Kong-based Hero Asia as a "highly strategic" subsidiary of China Longyuan. The rating on Hero Asia is therefore one notch lower than that on China Longyuan. We believe the structural subordination risk associated with Hero Asia's senior unsecured debt is counterbalanced by the company's geographically diversified asset portfolio and the fact that Hero Asia provides significant shareholder loans that have the same claim rights as the creditors of the project companies. We are raising our long-term corporate credit rating on Hero Asia to 'BBB+' from 'BBB'. We are also raising our long-term issue rating on Hero Asia's senior unsecured notes to 'BBB+' from
