Canada-based oil and natural gas exploration and production company, Gran Tierra Energy Inc. (GTE), is planning to issue of up to $300 million of senior unsecured notes due 2027. On May 9, 2019, S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'B+' issue-level rating to the proposed notes. We also affirmed our 'B+' issuer credit rating on GTE and our 'B+' issue-level rating on Gran Tierra Energy International Holdings Ltd's (GTEIH's) $300 million senior unsecured notes due 2025. The stable outlook reflects our view that GTE will continue to consolidate its recent acquisitions, focusing on increasing oil production and reserves. The outlook also reflects our expectation that the company's leverage metric will remain around 2x and liquidity to stay strong in the next
