Fortum Oyj has announced the sale of its stable, regulated Swedish electricity distribution network. We believe the disposal could weaken Fortum's business risk profile, and we see a risk that this would not be fully offset by a permanent strengthening of the company's financial risk profile. We are therefore placing our 'A-' long-term rating on Fortum on CreditWatch negative. We aim to resolve the CreditWatch once we have more information on the company's future business and financial risk profiles. On March 18, 2015, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services placed its 'A-' long-term corporate credit rating on Finnish power company Fortum Oyj on CreditWatch with negative implications. At the same time, we affirmed our 'A-2' short-term corporate credit rating and 'K-1'
