On July 26, 2007, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'A/A-1' sovereign credit ratings on the Export-Import Bank of China (China EXIM). The outlook was revised to positive from stable. The outlook revision reflects both our expectation that China EXIM will receive close support from the sovereign (China; A/Positive/A-1), and that the bank will have a better-defined policy role as outlined during our discussions with the government and regulators. From these discussions, we can conclude that China EXIM will remain a key development and public policy institution in China in the near to medium term.
