About This Report

Abstract:

Duke Energy Corp. has completed the sale of its Latin American merchant generation assets. We are affirming our ratings on Duke Energy, including the 'A-' issuer credit rating on the company, and all its subsidiaries and revising the outlook to stable from negative. The stable outlook on Duke Energy and its subsidiaries reflects the improvement in business risk stemming from the sale of riskier assets and in financial risk by using the sale proceeds to pay down debt. On Jan. 12, 2017, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its ratings on Duke Energy Corp., including the 'A-' issuer credit rating, and its subsidiaries Duke Energy Carolinas LLC, Duke Energy Progress LLC, Duke Energy Florida LLC, Duke Energy Ohio Inc., Duke Energy Kentucky
