We believe Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc.'s financial profile and credit measures will continue to improve despite weak macroeconomic conditions. We are revising our outlook on Dr Pepper Snapple to positive because year-to-date debt reduction has exceeded our expectations. On Aug. 20, 2009, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services revised its outlook on Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc. (DPS) to positive from negative. At the same time, we affirmed our ratings on DPS, including the 'BBB-' corporate credit rating. The outlook revision reflects DPS' good operating performance and debt reduction efforts that have led to improved credit measures, as well as the expectation that the company will be able to continue to improve its financial profile in the near-to-intermediate term.
