On Dec. 15, 2008, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services revised its outlook on Goodlettsville, Tenn.-based Dollar General Corp. to positive from stable. We affirmed all ratings on the company, including its 'B' corporate credit rating. The outlook revision follows Dollar General's better-than-expected operating results for the third quarter ended Oct. 31, 2008, and our expectations that this positive operating momentum will continue for the remainder of 2008 and into early 2009, resulting in improving cash flow and stronger credit protection measures.
