About This Report

Abstract:

We have revised the outlook on DTE Energy Co. and its subsidiaries Detroit Edison Co. and Michigan Consolidated Gas Co. to stable from negative. We also raised the short-term rating to 'A-2' from 'A-3'. We affirmed all of the long-term ratings including the 'BBB' corporate credit rating. The business risk profile and financial risk profile were maintained as 'strong' and 'significant', respectively. The stable outlook reflects the company's decreasing regulatory risk despite the economic uncertainty that continues to affect the company's regulated service territory. On Jan. 15, 2010, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services revised the outlook on DTE Energy Co., Detroit Edison Co., and Michigan Consolidated Gas Co. to stable from negative. We also raised the short-term rating to 'A-2'
