Compass Group PLC continues to deliver relatively strong credit measures for the existing ratings. The group also delivered solid operating performance in the first half of financial 2010, despite tough economic conditions in its key markets. We are revising the outlook on Compass to positive from stable and affirming the long-term corporate credit rating of 'BBB+'. The positive outlook primarily reflects Compass' strengthening financial risk profile, which, if sustained, could lead to a higher rating. On May 28, 2010, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services revised its outlook on U.K.-based food service provider Compass Group PLC to positive from stable.
