S&P Global Ratings has revised its outlook to stable from positive and affirmed its'BBB+'issuer credit rating on the City of Poughkeepsie , New York's issuer credit rating (ICR). The outlook revision reflects our expectation that the city’s ability to materially generate reserves comparable with those of higher-rated peers is limited, given tight operating margins and its recent decline in fund balance in fiscal 2025. Delayed receipts and overestimation of revenues led the city to its first deficit in several years, though we expect incremental improvement in the current fiscal year.
