Abstract:

The demerger of Chorus Ltd. by Telecom Corp of New Zealand Ltd. was completed on Nov. 30, 2011. The credit profile of Chorus Ltd. is consistent with our expectations at the time the preliminary rating was assigned to Chorus Ltd. on Aug. 30, 2011. Accordingly, we have assigned a final rating on Chorus Ltd. of BBB/Stable. At the same time, we assigned a 'BBB' long-term rating to Chorus Ltd.'s NZ$1.35 billion senior unsecured, multi-tranche, syndicated bank facility. On Dec. 1, 2011, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'BBB' long-term issuer credit rating to New Zealand-based telecommunications network company Chorus Ltd. (Chorus).
