S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'A+' long-term rating to Burton School District , Calif.'s $3.6 million series A (election of 2024) general obligation (GO) bonds and affirmed its 'A+' long term rating on the district?s existing GO debt based on the application of its criteria, " Methodology For Rating U.S. Governments ," published Sept. 9, 2024. At the same time, we affirmed our 'A' long term rating on the district's outstanding certificates of participation (COPs). The outlook is stable. Unlimited ad valorem taxes levied on taxable property in the district secure the GO bonds.
