S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA' rating to the Board of Education of Fayette County , Ky.'s anticipated $236.39 million series 2025A general obligation (GO) bonds and $104.675 million series 2025B GO refunding bonds. At the same time, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'AA' rating on the district?s outstanding GO debt and its 'AA-' underlying rating on the district's outstanding school building revenue debt, which is secured by lease rental payments. The rating is based on the application of our " Methodology For Rating U.S. Governments " criteria, published Sept. 9, 2024. The outlook on all ratings is stable. The series 2025A and 2025B bonds are secured by the district's full-faith-and-credit GO pledge. The state constitution and statute set maximum
