Peru-based universal bank, BCP, has maintained its predominant market position in the country's highly concentrated banking system. Despite a weaker asset quality, we see signs of stabilization and expect the bank's credit losses to remain manageable and in line with the system's average. We're affirming our 'BBB' long- and 'A-2' short-term issuer credit ratings on the bank. The stable outlook reflects our expectations that BCP will maintain adequate capitalization metrics and its leading position in the country with sound operating performance. On May 20, 2016, S&P Global Ratings Services affirmed its 'BBB' long- and 'A-2' short-term issuer credit ratings on Banco de Credito del Peru (BCP). The outlook remains stable. At the same time, we affirmed all issue-level ratings on
