We are assigning 'BBB' long-term and 'A-2' short-term global-scale foreign currency ratings to Bancomext. At the same time, we are affirming our 'mxAAA/mxA-1+' national-scale ratings on the bank. The outlook on all ratings is stable. Our ratings on the bank reflect its "adequate" business position, "adequate" risk position, "adequate" capital and earnings, "adequate" liquidity, and "average" funding. The stable outlook on the bank reflects that of the United Mexican States and our assessment of "almost certain" likelihood of extraordinary government support.
