The ratings on Banco G&TC continue to reflect its strong business position; moderate risk position, capital, and earnings; an average funding compared with other Guatemalan and Latin American banks; and adequate liquidity. We are affirming our 'BB/B' ratings on the bank. The negative outlook reflects that of the ratings on Guatemala. We expect the bank will maintain its satisfactory financial profile and slightly diversify its loan portfolio during 2012. On April 2, 2012, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'BB/B' issuer credit ratings on Guatemala-based Banco G&T Continental S.A. (Banco G&TC).
