The ratings on Botswana continue to reflect our view that it is a well-managed minerals economy with a long track record of political stability, orientated toward prudent economic policies. We are affirming our 'A-/A-2' foreign currency ratings on the Republic of Botswana and its central bank, the Bank of Botswana. The stable outlooks reflect our opinion that Botswana's government will sustain its budgetary consolidation effort through the medium term.
