Abstract:

NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) Oct. 15, 2008--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services today removed its ratings on 25 Waste Management Inc. jointly supported bond issues from CreditWatch negative, where they were placed July 17, 2008. At the same time, Standard&Poor's affirmed its ratings on two jointly supported bond issues (see list). These rating actions are based on our Oct. 13, 2008, removal of our corporate credit rating on Waste Management from CreditWatch negative, where they were placed July 14, 2008 (see "Waste Management Inc. Ratings Affirmed And Removed From CreditWatch With Negative Implications" on RatingsDirect, the real-time Web-based source for Standard&Poor's credit ratings, research, and risk analysis, at www.ratingsdirect.com).
