NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) Aug. 28, 2003--Standard&Poor's Rating Services said today that it raised its rating on the Republic of Argentina's Argentine peso-denominated and U.S. dollar-denominated Bonos del Gobierno Nacional (BODENs) bonds to 'CCC' from 'CC'. Standard&Poor's also assigned its 'CC' long-term local currency rating to Argentine peso-denominated National Government Guaranteed Loans ("Prestamos Garantizados"). In addition, Standard&Poor's affirmed its 'CC' ratings on Argentina's partially guaranteed Series E and Series F US$250 million zero coupon notes.
