The company is the holding company of the R+V insurance group ("RV" or "the Group"), but also operates as reinsurance company. The main operating entities of the Group are R+V Allgemeine Versicherung AG ("RVA"), writing property/casualty business and R+V Lebensversicherung AG (RLV), writing life insurance. The rating applies to RVV only, although the rating is heavily influenced by the strength of RVA and RVL.
