TOKYO (Standard&Poor's) Dec. 22, 2006--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said today that it will no longer provide public corporate governance scores for Japanese companies. Consequently, the corporate governance scores for ORIX Corp., a leading Japanese non-bank financial institution, and Resona Holdings Inc., a Japanese financial holding company, were withdrawn. Standard&Poor's has historically factored management and governance issues into its ratings processes, and will continue to monitor the corporate governance practices of ORIX and Resona Holdings as part of its normal credit rating surveillance, as is the case for other rated companies.
