NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) June 26, 2012--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services has assigned its 'AA' rating to Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC), Fla.'s, utility system revenue refunding bonds, series 2012A. At the same time, Standard&Poor's affirmed its 'AA' rating on OUC's parity debt obligations outstanding. The outlook is stable. "The rating reflects what we believe to be a consistently strong financial performance, a diverse power supply mix, competitive rates, and a service area that has demonstrated stability and has shown some recovery from the recession's effects," said Standard&Poor's credit analyst Peter Murphy.
