The 'A+/A-1' rating assigned to Louisiana Public Facilities Authority?s revenue bonds series 2008 (for the C-Port LLC project) is based on the irrevocable, direct-pay letter of credit (LOC) that Bank of America N.A. ('A+/A-1') provides. The rating applies to the bonds only when they're in the weekly rate mode (see Structural Overview). The 'A+' long-term component of the rating reflects our opinion of the likelihood that the bonds' principal and interest will be repaid in full based on the credit support that the LOC provides.
