NY -- Standard&Poor's CreditWire 3/12/98 -- Standard&Poor's assigned its single-`A' rating to New Jersey Educational Facilities Authority's revenue bonds series 1998A dated Feb. 1, 1998 due July 1, 2021, issued on behalf of William Paterson College. Standard&Poor's affirmed its single-`A' rating on the authority's outstanding student center revenue bonds series 1976A issued for the college. In addition, Standard&Poor's raised its rating on the authority's series 1974C bonds issued for Paterson College to single-`A' from triple-`B'. The single-`A' rating reflects the college's underlying G.O. pledge, strong state support, continued admissions flexibility, and good financial performance and position.
