CENTENNIAL (S&P Global Ratings) June 14, 2018--S&P Global Ratings today published its report, titled "Medians And Credit Factors: Florida School Districts." "In recent years, Florida school districts have demonstrated stable credit quality--supported by strong economic growth across the state following the latest recession--generally stable reserves, and comparatively low debt burdens," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Kimberly Barrett. "We expect this stability to continue in the near term primarily due to projected economic and population growth. However, we note that some unique challenges, including competition from charter schools, could introduce longer-term credit pressures." S&P Global Ratings maintains issuer credit ratings on 25 Florida school districts.
