About This Report

Abstract:

NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) Nov. 14, 2024--S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA+' rating and stable outlook to Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency's (MassHousing) roughly $148.6 million series 239 and 240 single-family housing revenue bonds (SFHRBs) within its SFHRB program. At the same time, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'AA+' rating and 'AA+/A-1' dual rating, with a stable outlook, on previously issued debt within MassHousing's SFHRB program. "We could lower the rating or revise the outlook to negative if delinquencies and foreclosures were to increase or overcollateralization were to weaken sharply. However, we do not see these scenarios as likely due to the MassHousing portfolio's conservative nature, minimal variable-rate debt, and private-insurer exposure," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst David Greenblatt.
