CHICAGO (S&P Global Ratings) Jan. 23, 2023--S&P Global Ratings revised the outlook to stable from negative and affirmed its 'A' rating on Marshalltown Community School District, Iowa's outstanding general obligation (GO) bonds. "The outlook revision reflects our view that the district's finances have stabilized and our expectation that its credit profile will remain consistent with those of similarly rated peers," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Charlie Salmans. We could take a negative rating action if the district's reserves or debt burden weaken materially relative to those of 'A' rated peers. We could take a positive rating action if the district's economic profile and reserves improved relative to those of higher-rated peers.
