SAN FRANCISCO (S&P Global Ratings) Nov. 19, 2020--S&P Global Ratings lowered its long-term rating to 'BBB+' from 'A-' on California Statewide Communities Development Authority's series 2018A tax-exempt revenue bonds and series 2018B taxable revenue bonds issued for Marin General Hospital (Marin or the district). The outlook is negative. "The lower rating and negative outlook reflect our view of Marin's declining operating trend that could persist due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and its disruptive influence on volume and revenue," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Aamna Shah. "The lower rating further reflects our view of Marin's vulnerable debt position, which is underlined by its markedly high debt burden and highly leveraged balance sheet compared to 'BBB+' rating
